Riverside Museum
Back to MuseumsMivan completed the full internal fit out of the Riverside Museum, Glasgow's 120,000 sq ft award-winning transport museum. Located at the junction of the Rivers Kelvin and Clyde, it houses the city’s fabulous transport and technology collections. They have been collected over the centuries and reflect the important part Glasgow has played in the world. Through its contributions to heavy industries like shipbuilding, train manufacturing and engineering.
With over 3,000 objects on display the museum houses all forms of transport. From skateboards to locomotives, motorbikes to prams and cars to ships.
Within the museum there are over 90 large interactive touch screens full of images, audio, memories, and films that tell the fascinating stories behind the objects.
Visitors can walk down an old cobbled Glasgow street with shops dating from 1895 to the 1980s and immerse themselves in the sights and sounds through an array of physical and digital interactive displays.
